Hello, I’m Jesse.

I’m a Saskatoon music producer, songwriter, guitarist, and educator with more than 20 years of experience helping artists turn ideas into finished songs and records.

From songwriting and arrangement to production, recording, mixing, and artist development, I work closely with artists to bring out what makes their music unique. I’m also the co-owner of Nolita Studios, where I continue to create, collaborate, teach, and help artists move their music forward.

My Story

I’m Jesse Weiman, a Saskatoon music producer, songwriter, guitarist, and educator with more than 20 years of experience in music production, songwriting, recording, mixing, performance, and artist development.

Music has been the constant through every version of my life.

I started out writing songs, playing guitar, performing, and making my own records. Over time, that grew into something much bigger: helping other artists find their sound, strengthen their songwriting, and turn an idea into a finished record they’re proud to release.

Alongside my wife and creative partner, Andrea An, I co-own Nolita Studios, a Saskatoon recording and production studio where we work with artists on songwriting, music production, recording, mixing, artist development, photography, video, and the creative process surrounding a release.

As a producer and songwriter, I’ve worked with Canadian artists including Codie Prevost, Amanda Hagel, Andrea An, Adam Johnson, Teagan Littlechief, Becca G, Duff Kelly, Kieran Gardner, Ryan Cross, Mercy Glover, and many others across country, pop, rock, alternative rock, and heavier music.

That work has led to some milestones I’m incredibly proud of.

I co-produced Codie Prevost’s RADIO, which won Album of the Year at the 2019 Saskatchewan Country Music Awards, and produced Amanda Hagel’s Listen With Your Heart, winner of Gospel Album of the Year at the 2017 Saskatchewan Country Music Awards.

Several songs I’ve worked on have also found success at Canadian radio and on national charts.

Adam Johnson’s “The Good Ol’ Boys” reached #51 and “Get To Forgetting You” reached #53 on the Billboard Canada Country Airplay chart, while “Come On Let’s Go” reached #1 on the Canadian Indie Country Countdown.

My work with Amanda Hagel has included multiple nationally charting releases. “Angel Lullaby” reached #1 on the Canadian Indie Country Countdown, while “Dirty Up Good” reached the Canadian Country Radio Top 100 and climbed into the Top 60 for country-radio spins, and “Her Own Drum” reached the Top 100 at Canadian Country Radio.

Other charting projects have included Ryan Cross’s “Play Me Another,” which reached #4 on the Canadian Indie Country Countdown, as well as Teagan Littlechief’s “Need You To Go,” which reached #1 on the Indigenous Music Countdown.

Those milestones mean a lot to me, but some of the projects I’m most proud of come from the long-term relationships I’ve built with artists.

I like being involved long before the record button is pressed—working through lyrics, melody, arrangement, instrumentation, dynamics, performance, and what the artist is actually trying to communicate.

For me, music production isn’t about forcing an artist into my sound.

It’s about understanding what makes that artist unique and helping them bring the strongest version of that forward.

That philosophy has shaped my ongoing work with Andrea An. Together, we’ve developed an independent, in-house creative process that spans songwriting, production, recording, mixing, photography, video, branding, and artist development.

Her debut album Bloom was ranked #7 on SaskMusic’s Best Saskatchewan Albums of 2022, and our work together has continued to evolve into a sound that blends alternative rock, pop, cinematic production, heavy guitars, and influences from anime, gaming, and modern alternative music.

My career has also taken me beyond traditional record production.

I’ve provided ADR and voice recording services for film and television projects, including work connected to the Netflix film Rez Ball, served as President of the Saskatchewan Country Music Association, received multiple industry nominations for my production work, and in 2025 was selected as a JUNO Awards judge for the Instrumental category.

Those experiences have allowed me to see the Canadian music industry from several sides—as a producer, songwriter, guitarist, recording engineer, studio owner, educator, mentor, adjudicator, and someone who has spent a large part of his career helping independent artists move their music forward.

Teaching has become an increasingly important part of what I do as well.

Through guitar lessons, songwriting lessons, music production, and artist development, I work with musicians at different stages of their careers to help them better understand their craft.

Whether we’re working on guitar technique, songwriting, melody, arrangement, performance, or how to build a recording from the ground up, my goal is to make what I’ve learned over more than two decades practical and useful.

I want artists and students to understand not only what works, but why it works—so they can become stronger, more confident, and more independent creators.

After all these years, I still get excited about the same thing: hearing a rough idea begin to turn into a song.

Sometimes it starts with a voice memo and three chords.

Sometimes it’s an artist who already knows exactly what they want but needs help figuring out how to get there.

Sometimes it’s someone writing their first song.

Wherever the starting point is, my job is to help move it forward.

Better songs. Better records. Artists who sound like themselves.
